I am a surgeon.
But more than that. I am an advocate, a partner, and a relentless believer in the power of
knowledge and innovative care. My calling is rooted in the unwavering belief that every patient deserves not only the best possible care, but also hope, knowledge, and a fighting chance.
In the fight against advanced abdominal cancers, we stand behind a powerful treatment that is changing outcomes and saving lives: CRS/HIPEC (Cytoreductive Surgery and Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy). This life-extending procedure offers renewed hope for patients with complex peritoneal surface malignancies. And yet far too many never hear about it in time.
That must change.
What I Believe In
Every patient deserves the best possible care.
No one should be denied life-saving options due to outdated assumptions, lack of
information, or geography.
Information is power.
Patients, caregivers, and families deserve clear, compassionate, and evidence-based
information to guide their decisions.
Collaboration improves outcomes.
Multidisciplinary care is essential. Bridging gaps between surgical teams,
oncologists, nurses, referring physicians, and patient advocacy organizations stands to ensure that no patient is ever left behind.
Relentless Advocacy
Informing, educating, and connecting means more patients get to the care that they need. And that should happen at all levels: from patients and caregivers all the way up to clinicians. Even surgeons can make an extraordinary difference in patient navigation - together, we form a vast web of support.
I have vowed to use my skills, my voice, and my platform to shine a light on abdominal cancers and therapies like CRS/HIPEC—to push for earlier referrals, access to specialized care, and broader understanding.
But I Am Part of a Larger Mission
You and I are not alone in this work. Across the world, courageous patients, researchers, and advocates are demanding greater awareness, better outcomes, and access to cutting-edge care.
We proudly stand with leading organizations that share this mission. Organizations like:
Advancing research, education, and awareness for appendix cancer and PMP.
A global community supporting patients and caregivers affected by pseudomyxoma
peritonei (PMP), appendix cancer, and other peritoneal malignancies.
Peritoneal Surface Oncology Group International (PSOGI)
A global leader in advancing research, data, and treatment standards for CRS/HIPEC.
Supporting awareness and innovation for gynecologic cancers—including HIPEC for
ovarian cancer.
Empowering patients and caregivers through education, early detection, and
comprehensive treatment options, including CRS/HIPEC.
National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC)
Advocating for women with ovarian cancer, many of whom may benefit from HIPEC as
part of their care.
The nation’s most trusted resource for people facing mesothelioma.
Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO)
Driving surgical innovation, training, and excellence in cancer care, including peritoneal
surface disease.
United Ostomy Associations of America
Promotes quality of life for people with ostomies and continent diversions through information, support, advocacy, and collaboration.
What We’re Building
We are creating a movement - a living web of connection, knowledge, and
hope - dedicated to empowering patients, caregivers, and families with the tools they need to fight abdominal cancers. Together, we are helping:
Patients learn about their diagnosis and treatment options with clear, compassionate
language.
Caregivers and families find support, stories, and guidance.
Clinicians improve referrals, collaborate, and grow as a connected community.
Amplify organizations and their impact through shared knowledge and strategic
collaboration.

This movement is rooted in evidence, powered by compassion, and driven by the belief that everyone deserves a fighting chance.
Together, we can spread the word.
Together, we can save lives.
