Dr. James F. Pingpank Jr. is an associate professor of surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (UPMC). His interests and expertise include patient treatment with primary and metastatic gastrointestinal cancers with specialization in regional treatment strategies for advance malignancies of the liver and peritoneal cavity. A board-certified physician in general surgery, he received a medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, D.C. He completed his residency at the University of Connecticut, Department of Surgery; conducted his research fellowship at University of Pennsylvania; and completed his surgical oncology fellowship at the Fox Chase Cancer Center, Department of Surgery, Philadelphia.
