Liquid IV Kept Me Out of the Hospital
Although it's usually not mentioned or as an afterthought, staying hydrated after surgery, during chemo and well after both can be very difficult. I always thought that I was drinking enough but I continually ended up in the ER getting two bags of fluid due to extreme dehydration. My Oncologist told me about Liquid IV which is stronger and better then the sports drinks on the market. I started drinking one a day and if I was feeling low, I just had one or two more. You can mix them in a water bottle or anything (I like mixing them in my iced tea). They truly helped me keep my hydration up and I didn't have to go to the ER anymore! Even now, 9 years later, if I feel sluggish I take one. I always make sure I drink one before going to the beach or being out in the heat for the day. I drink another one when I get back home. Staying ahead of dehydration is half the battle! I always have them on hand and they really work!!!
