Transcript:
"Hi, my name's Rebecca Countess and I was diagnosed with appendix cancer in August of 2023. It seemed like a death sentence, but I am here to tell you that I am living proof that you will survive and you will be just fine.
So, when I got my diagnosis, my son came and my husband and we went and we got a plan. We started eating protein, we started working out. They said 'Train like you're going to be in a marathon.". Honestly, all of that really helps. Drink your water, get your protein, try to work out to really build up your muscle strength before the surgery because it makes a difference afterwards.
And I will tell any friends and family that any support you give is immensely helpful. The cards, because you don't really wanna see anybody at that time. But just cards, reaching out, knowing that people are praying for you. Every time somebody said they were praying for me, it made me cry. So, honestly all that support really helps. And you will get through it, and I am living proof."
