Ulman Foundation
Ulman Foundation has been supporting adolescents and young adults (AYAs) impacted by cancer for nearly 30 years. Founded by a 19-year-old college student, Doug Ulman, after his own cancer diagnosis, Ulman has grown into a national leader in AYA cancer support. Today, Ulman offers a range of free services designed to meet the unique needs of this underserved population. This includes Ulman House, a first-of-its-kind hospitality home in Baltimore that provides free lodging for young adult cancer patients and their caregivers, and patient navigation services, which offer personalized guidance to help individuals access treatment, manage care, and find emotional and practical support throughout their journey.
Ulman also builds community through Cancer to 5K, a 12-week, volunteer-led training program that empowers cancer survivors of all fitness levels to complete a 5K race — promoting healing through movement and connection. In addition, we offer educational workshops, social programming, and other individualized support to ensure no young adult faces cancer alone.
